History

Patricia Bova established the dance studio in 1955. “Pattie” taught many of her first students in her home. Her first dance production was on the back patio of her parents’ home in Overland Park.In 1966, the central portion of our building on Foster was built. In 1973, the dance studio became what was known as Beller Dance Studio. In 2011 the  name was changed to Beller Dance and Gymnastics.

In March of 2001 Pattie’s daughter, Diane, became co-owner of Beller’s. Diane grew up in the family business, first as a student, then as an instructor and finally full owner in March 2014 upon Patties passing.  She hopes to honor her mother’s vision and carry on the Beller’s tradition for years to come.

Over the years the studio has taken on different looks, but one thing remains the same, the commitment to give every child a quality dance and gymnastics education at an affordable price.

Beller Dance and Gymnastics employs a very dedicated staff, many of whom were once Pattie’s students. This staff of over 20 instructors combines training and talent to provide a rewarding dance and gymnastics experience for your child.

For generations, Pattie and her highly qualified staff have offered outstanding opportunities for growth in the art of dance and gymnastics.
